When the Republic of Croatia became a full member of the European Union it acquired the right to participate in all programs of the EU and the right to use the Structural Funds - European Regional Development Fund, the European Social Fund, the Cohesion Fund and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the European Fisheries Fund with several times higher funding amounts than in the pre-accession programs.
